My clip initially was recognized the first few times I tried putting it in hold, pressing the middle button and then plugging in the USB, but now it is no longer recognized when I do that. The firmware is up to date, the laptop i use is the same one and has not had any new software or updates.I’ve tried changing the USB mode to no avail
please help!
If your Clip’s firmware is up to date, then you don’t need to do the MSC “trick” you’ve described (hold, middle button etc.). Just set it to MSC mode via the Settings -> USB menu.
