Don’t know what I did to mess this up, but everytime now that I disconnect from my laptop the Clip remains with “connected” on its screen…no refreshing database etc. So I hold the power switch for 15 seconds and it powers down. Then I turn it back on and it refreshes the database. Laborious. Also often (always?) doesn’t seem to automatically power up with I plug the Clip into USB laptop port. Have to connect via USB port then manually turn on the Clip.
Any ideas? Tried a firmware re-install (version 2.016a or some-such) on this month-old 4GB clip, and even a re-format. I appear to be in MSC mode.
