Charging Sansa Clip+ with my Samsung Travel Charger 4.4V 400mA

Can I use the Samsung SAC-48 (from my DigiCam) to charge my Sansa Clip+ and listen to the music while it is charged.

The technical data are:

Input: 100-240V ~ 50-60HZ 0.2A

Output: 4.4V 400mA

Is it sufficient enough?

What happens when the voltage is too low?

Is there any risk (charger or/and player can be damaged) if I try it?
