Charging renews shuffle playlist / switch display off while charging?

Hi,

is there any chance to charge the battery without making the media bay to refresh?
(background is that I’m always using shuffle. And it seems if I charge, the ‘internal’ shuffled playlist renews itself somehow. I would love to go on in the prior shuffle even though charging in between).

Further, is it possible to switch the players’ display off when charging?

Thnx a lot!

See if this helps (from the Fuze, but I verified it works on Clip+):

If you charge via your computer’s USB port, the Clip’s display will turn off after about an hour.  This isn’t user-changeable.  The one exception is, if you use a power-only (that is, no-data) USB cable (or cover up or remove the data pins in a regular USB cable, or otherwise attach the USB cable lightly so that the data pins do not make a connection to your computer), the following will apply.

If you charge via a USB AC adapter, the display turns off according to your display setting.  Also, there is no refresh when you detach from a USB AC adapter.

Great tip–thanks (and for verifying that it works on the Clip)!  The idea:  have your Clip on and paused when you connect to your computer, and there’s no refresh when you disconnect.
