Switched to Windows 7, and when I try to charge battery, critically low appears. Move to another computer with Windows XP, and battery reads accurately and shows charging. ???
It’s a Win 7 bug that others have reported too. You might do a search and/or Google it. It’s been a while, so I don’t remember if there was ever a solution found (like a Microsoft patch or update) that addressed this or not.
Someone else with younger, less damaged brain cells may chime in and enlighten us. 
Hmmm, Win7 here and no such issue.
