Changing sharing & permission without to do formating Hard drive

Hello 

I have faced with issue, 

I moved to another country and asked my relatives to buy My passport 2 gb and copy and send me disk, fine.

The have done!

I recieved HD and I can only read it…

How can  I chage it not doing format this HD, because I know I can format it , but its 2 TB and I dont have this amound of spase either anothr HD to copy those data.

So how to change change  sharing & permission without to do formating Hard drive?

Hi, welcome to the community.

It seems that you are using a Windows formatted drive on a Ma. I’ve seen people using applications to be able to write to NTFS drive on mac, however I do not know the names, maybe another user can point you in the right directio or provide you any pointers on this matter.
