Changing ExFAT to NTFS

Hello
I notice my WD MyBook 8T formatted as ExFAT. I found that this format doesn’t support journaling. I have 2 questions:

  1. Why did WD formated this Disk as ExFAT while this format has a much higher rate of data corruption?
  2. Can I change that to NTFS via windows like flash memory?

  1. because exFAT can be used with a PC and a Mac … then you can format to whatever you like after it’s recognized by an OS

  2. You can re-format the Hard drive to NTFS if you like.
    But, it will wipe all the data off the hard drive … backup anything you don’t want to lose before formatting the drive.
