Can you change the HDD to SSD in a My Book Duo 8TB since I have had this drive for 4 years now and
it is getting full looking for more speed in data saving

I wouldn’t recommend a WD device as an SSD. After all, they’re slower than ■■■■.
No, as most SSD drives are 2.5", and the use of a 3.5" bracket adapter would most likely prevent the controller board from lining up correctly with the SATA & power connectors. You would be better off just buying a new external SSD unit.
