CF card RAW format problem!

OK! I have a CF card that is usually used on my Canon camera. However, recently, for some camera problem, I have no choice but to use this CF card on another digital camera and forget to format it as well as back up everything stored photos well. Today, I just cannot view all the stored photos and the card is also displayed as “RAW”. So, I hope someone can recommend me some ways to get back all stored files back. Thanks!

Have you tried this CF card on your computer?

If this card can work functionally on your computer, just copy off all your stored photos and format it to try it on your new camera again.

But, if you still get the RAW file system, don’t be depressed, stop using this card in case of unwanted data loss.

And then, download some memory card data recovery tool to restore all your inaccessible photos back like this:

At last, format this CF card for converting the RAW files system back to NTFS or FAT32. Just select a file system that is compatible with the new camera.

Note: Next time, you should act carefully about your card data and always back it up well timely.

As I know, the RAW file system problem often can be fixed by formatting. So, in your case, you also have no choice but to format it for turning the RAW file system back to NTFS or FAT32. But, since you still store many photos on this CF card, you are supposed to restore all photos back with the help of a card data recovery tool like:

PS: Never wonder to format a CF card without a data backup in the future. So, just back up everything important all the time.
