CD "races" from song to song and doesn't play ANY of them

Hi all -

Brand new Fuze owner here.

Had a CLIP before.

Loved its size and integral clip but it wouldn’t hold a charge to save it’s life,.

Returned it for a Fuze.

I’ve had it three days.

Here’s one of my problems.

Some CDs that I’ve stored on my computer that played okay on my CLIP don’t work correctly on my Fuze.

If I go to that record, it’ll race from song to song.

And won’t stop.

It won’t play any songs.

Does anybody have any ideas of how to fix this.

Did you rip the tracks from the CD into a playable format such as .mp3 pr .wma?

Typically, skipping from song to song is a sign of a file problem with the loaded music.  Try erasing the tracks and reloading.  Next in line would be to verify that their ID3 tags are correct, with a utility such as MP3Tag.

Had this same thing happen with some WMA files on my kid’s Clip.  Played about a half second of every song skipping through the entire album and then the Clip would freeze up.  I had to depress the menu button and hold it for about 30 seconds in order for it to unfreeze.

I deleted them off the Clip, but never put them back on.

Since then I have re-ripped the same CD in mp3 format and loaded them to my Fuze, and they work fine.
