Cant RMA WD Elements bought from Tiger Direct

i bought this western Digital exyernal hard drive last May 2016 from Tiger Direct. I cannot get my invoice from them because they went out of business amd a new company bought them out so they dont have those records after they changed ownership. The. Hard drive was not been working for a while now while i was trying to research how to get to work correctly. I’ve tried everything they say to try and nothing has worked. It seems to work as in it spins with no rattling, the led comea on and lights up amd blinks etc. But when i try to move pictures, folders, documents or anything it will not transfer faster than 100 kbs which beforw it could go up to 30-60 MBs. I have tried different computeers,usb cables, usb ports, WD and windows programs, files, pics, videos etc.I wavent dropped it or anything. Its been in a empty space not being moved or bumped etc. Can we please please get it fixed/referbished or exchanges for anything, even a smaller hard drive i would be very happy and a lifelong cuatomer if we can come together do do something about it…i cant afford another $100+ on another hard drive yet as i was expecting rhis one to last 2-3 years at least. Again i beg of you to please help me and my family. I have the original box and everything but no paperwork since the new tiger direct deleyed all the other company’s messages/invoices etc.

You may not need the invoice. Warranty entitlement begins from manufacturing date if no proof of purchase is available.

Also, have you checked your email archives for an order receipt?

Hi Tony, thanks for the help! I have found a shipping confirmation email from tiger direct with some of the info on it but that is it for some reason. I tried signing into tiger direct but it just shows no orders. The shipping confirmation email i have is dated Dec. 1st 2015. Do i need to forward it to you or anyone?
