I plugged in my clip to put music on it a few days ago and it says it has to install the driver (when before it pretty much would plug into the computer with no problems)…and when it does I get the following thing:

MTP mode is one of the 2 USB modes in which the Clip can connect to your computer. Can you switch to MSC mode (the other mode) on your Clip, under Settings/USB? The only possible issue is, you cannot transfer copy-protected files in MSC mode–that requires MTP mode.
