Can't Install Acronis WD edition

I just downloaded the installation file for the WD Acronis product.  It won’t install because it says I don’t have any WD drives in my system.

Yet when I run the WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic, it ‘finds’ both WD hard drives (one SATA and one EIDE).  I can even run a ‘SMART’ check on both drives from DLD.  Both drives are also identified correctly in the system BIOS.

When I run XP Device Manager from Control Panel, the drives show up, but are not identified as WD drives, merely as ‘generic’ hard disks.

Has anyone else encountered this problem or have a solution?

Thanks in advance . . .

It has happened before. You might try contacting support. Your could also look on the Acronis forums. This is a product that kind of falls in a no man’s land because neither side is totaly responsible and blame the other.
