Cant get playback from my sansa when connecting to the xbox 360

you know how you can connect an ipod to a 360 via usb cable, and play the songs you have on your ipod through the tv/surround sound? well i can connect the sansa and it recognizes the software but when i go to the sansas music library using the 360 interface, it says that there isnt a single song to be found on the sansa when, in fact, i have the device about halfway full? any ideas as how to resolve my dilemma?

You have to manually change your device USB mode from AutoDetect to MTP.

Go to Settings > Systems Settings > USB Mode.

try msc mode

That’s very helpful, except the Xbox 360 wants MTP mode, I believe.

This question was ask before and I gave them the same answer and it worked

I have a 360, and I have tested on 4 other 360’s and the verdict is MSC mode… It cant read MTP from the Fuze for some reason.

I stand corrected.  I figured MS would want folks to use MTP.
