Can't access my drive

Hello!

I’m using a 15" MBP from mid 2010 with i7 and a WD 2 TB formated for mac, I don’t know the exact model but I can find out if necessary, about 2 years old.

I can’t access the drive anymore. It doesn’t show up in Finder. I can find it in Disk Utility but its name is “disk1s” which isn’t what I named it. The “Verify disk” and “Repair disk” buttons are grayed out so I cant do that. 
I have rebooted both the computer and hard drive, bought a new USB cable, tried all my ports and it still doesn’t work. 

My friend can read the drive tho, on his Acer from 2010. He downloaded some software and it works.

What do you suggest?

i have a macbook air 2013 and a imac 27" late 2013, both with 10.9 mavericks,

and i cannot mount my 2 mypassports anymore.

disk utility wont show them in the left column at all.

i requested a replacement from wd, as i thought it is the drive, and it came quickly some days ago,

but it is still the same problem, it is not the drive. it must be 10.9 somehow.

could we get updated drivers please?
