Hi there, I have a clip jam hooked up by USB in a 25 Honda Civic. However it only lets me scroll through one song at a time and the shuffle feature doesn’t work. As soon as I plug into the device it says charging and will not let me choose shuffle either, even if I’ve tried to do this before I plug in. Is there any way round this please?
Change the USB mode to MSC in the player settings and use a charge-only cable, shuffle will work normally.
Enable media transfer mode for USB connections in Clip Jam’s settings, and try connecting to the car’s audio system using an AUX cable to gain full playback control.
One thing to check is how the files are organized on the SD card. Some car stereos only enable shuffle when they recognize the music as a playlist or when everything is in a supported folder structure. It might also be worth reformatting the card to FAT32 and copying the music back from scratch if you haven’t already.
Thanks Emma, but know idea how to do either of those. I don’t have a playlist so at the moment the shuffle is still going through my car alphabetically. When you say the card…I only have an mp3 so am not sure what the card is.
