Cannot Turn Off/Screen Frozen -- Edit Update: Resolved

I cannot turn off the Clip and the screen is switching between the Sansa name and the screen showing the picture of the Clip and PC stating it is connected.

The thing is its not connected to the PC.

My son didn’t drop it or anything. We cannot access the menu. The battery icon shows empty but when we do physically connect it to the PC the battery icon blinks but doesn’t show it powering up.

Please, any ideas?

I did not realize that I could reset the system by holding the power button for 15 seconds.  All is fine.

Did you try connecting in USB MSC mode?

It was so frozen that we couldn’t access anything including the mode.  We had it already set at MSC.  But by holding the power button to the up position for 15 seconds it reset and is now usuable.
