I had a loss of sectors on my hard drive. When I went to My Passport, I discovered: (1) what is backed up on the machine will not restore; (2) back-ups are missing. I need to access what is there in WD SmartWare.swstor to at least obtain that information. The Restore option only access a file that has 0 bytes in it. Can anyone help?
I’m having the same problem. I can’t even wipe the backups.
If your hard drive is recognized by your computer and you are able to open the WD SmartWare interface, try the steps in the link below to try to restore or retrieve your backup.
