broken power micro switch

my daughters sansa clip + wouldnt shut off- i opened it up to find that one side of the microswitch under the power button had become  disconnected- any suggestions on how to re-attach this? has anybody seen similar short life (less than a year of use) among sansa products?

If its only a year old, I think you can just ask for a replacement.

If it’s less than a year old, I’d return it as Saratoga suggested. Or, if it’s a soldered connection and you (or someone you know) have a very small-tipped soldering iron, you might be able to re-solder it. The only thing to be really careful about is taking the case apart and putting it back together again without damaging it. Here’s a disassembly guide with pictures that will help.
