I have bought a WD Passport 2TB 3.0 USB but it is not working. When I plug it in the light flashs on and off and a constent rate, it makes a sound not quite a click or a beep but some where inbetween, and the computer (A dell mini windows xp) does not seem to think anything is pluged in (I even looked under the device manager nothing shows up). what can I do to get this thing working.
I have the same problem. My passport was working fine then all of a sudden my computer in unable to read it. It will work for a short time then freeze.
