Big surprise! Drive not recognized .... -.-

I´m beginning to think that this is a common problem with WD HD.

I bought a 750 g HD ES and plugged it into several computers but none of them recognized the drive.

Disk is brand new, just did the registration thing.

Im using windows 7 and XP

any advise??

We need more details - that could mean anything from a bad partition to a physically damaged drive (it may have been dropped in the store or banged around durring shipment)
