The player loses contact with the battery. It plays for a bit, then quits. If I take the battery out and put it back in, it will start back up, but then the same thing happens again. Is there a way to improve the contact?
Batteries with a wide diameter positive contact do not work and will produce this symptom. If you look at the battery it came with, you will probably see that the positive contact is smaller than the one you are trying to use. I actually sent my unit back because of this, and when the new unit had the same problem I figured it out.
