Why does the battery run down when the player is not on?
I charge the thing up to full, turn it off for a couple of hours, and when I come back to it, the thing is dead. Won’t even turn on, the battery is so dead.
Sounds like you have a defective unit. I’d call SanDisk about getting a warranty replacement.
