Battery dead after not using

If I recharge my Clip+ to 100%, wait a day, then try to turn it on - the battery is dead. It’s like it loses it’s charge without being used. Is there anything I can do? Calibrating the battery maybe?

Mine certainly doesn’t do that. It goes for days (and sometimes weeks) between uses with no appreciable decline in battery charge level.

Is it still under warranty?

You also could try reapplying the latest firmware (see the firmware upgrade sticky thread at the top of this forum), in case the issue is the result of a corruption of the firmware. If that doesn’t do it, hopefully you are still within the warranty period.

Not in the warranty period and I did reapply the latest firmware.

Also, it’s been recharging for hours now and on the mp3 player info it says the battery is 100%. However, when I plug it in to my computer the window that pops up says Critically Low (0%) …

Why ? :frowning:

Are you running Win 7? This is a known Windows issue with this OS. Don’t believe it.
