I’m going to install SmartWare on my PC to do backups.
I wonder if this SW can backup my files also when im not at home and working outside my network.

No, Smartware only works across your local network.
The only way to do your scenario would be to use a VPN solution which allows your PC to connect back and join your local network from your remote location.
