i accidnetall yset my backlight for 5 seconds and now i cant get back to settings to set it for longer because i cant see anything on the screen. when i can see anything, i can only see what song is playing. please help me!!!
What you can do is hit the home button twice real quick, this should get you to the menu, and then use the scroll wheel to get to settings. Then go to system settings backlight and then change the timer.

Ah Ha. Your issue is not the backlight timer. It is a bigger Issue. A search of the forum revealed that this is a defect on a few players. If you cant return it to the store Call SanDisk tech support, and arrange for an RMA.
