Auto-unlock feature not working reliably

I am using two external western digital drives and both are hardware encrypted. I use Western Digital Discovery (+ Security) app to have it automatically unlocked after start of windows. But this does not work properly. Most of the times both drives are not unlocked and I have to do it manually. Sometimes, only one drive is unlocked. I specified the correct user.

What could be the problem?
