This is just to suggest a new function for the WD My Cloud App. It would be desirable to have available a soft power off option, at least for the My Passport Wireless device.
Maybe the problem is because I have a huge amount of family pics and videos in one of my drives, and, sometimes, when I power off it pressing 4 seconds the hardware power buttom, I got the two red leds blinking during the next boot process… If I check the harddrive (conecting it to a PC), I find that some processes related to trascoding are stopped (maybe) in a forced way, and the file system is corrupted. If I repair the file system, the drive starts to work nicely again as a WIFI drive.
I think that the app power off option would be a good point, and I dont know if the hardware 4 seconds way is a forced power off, and could lead to file system corruption.
