After Erased My Passport Essential is unuseable?

Hi all,

I was about to reformat my External WD Passport Essential

So i thought of erasing it using WD Smartware before reformating.

But seems that the status of the drive is “No writeable partition” after using “erase”

and My Computer cant detect this drive.

Poduct ID: 0730

Firmware Revision: 1016

What should i do to reformat the drive and continue using it?

I don’t know what OS you are using. In Windows look in Disk Management and see if the drive shows there. You should be able to format it from there if it shows.
