After 5 months my clip just died

Last week my clip said that i needed to connect to my subscriber to update my license for my streaming music (i use Napster to go) and when i connected it didn’t work.  i thought it might be my computer so i restarted it and tried about six or seven different things and it still didn’t update.  finally i formatted the sansa and was able to re-download my music.  two days later i am listening to music in the car and it freezes when i try to skip to the next song.  I turned the player off and then back on and it started playing again.  Once I got to work I continued to play music through some external speakers I have and it just died.  So I plugged it in figuring that it needed to be charged but instead it is completely dead.  I bought this player in mid-august to replace my samsung YP-20 that i had for more that 2 years (without any issue). Now it doesn’t work at all and i am left without any music to listen to at work or on the road (as these are my primary uses).  Please let me know what I should do.  Should i take it back to best buy where i purchased it?  I would like this resolved as soon as possible as it will negatively affect my long commute.

Thank you
