I bought 2 6tb My Books. One of them is constantly blinking once it is mounted on my system. As soon as I unmount it stays solid. There is no read/write activity happening when it is mounted and it NEVER turns off. When I put my hand on the enclosure I feel occassional clicking/vibration like a read/write is happening. My other identical drive does not do this, it only blinks when it is reading/writing data.
I have tried switching USB ports to see if the port may be the issue but the problem still persists. I feel like this is causing premature wear on my drive as it is constantly clicking/vibrating and flashing lights. This doesnt seem normal especially since the other drive does not do it.
Ideas? It is still under warranty. Thanks.
