Help.  I’ve been using my WD external HD for extra recording space with a Motorol Moxi DVR, which is now toast.  Since I will no longer be using the Moxi I want to recover the drive and use it for mass PC storage.  My issue is, after connecting it to my PC, the drive will not show up in My Computer.  I followed the procedures for disconnecting with the Moxi.  I’m guessing this has something to do with encryption?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Sound like you just need to reformat the drive drive in Windows.

TRY FORMATTING THE DRIVE AND CHECK IF THAT SOLVES, IF THE PARTITION IS PROTECTED THEN USE DLG DIAG AND WRITE ZEROS TO THE DRIVE AND THEN FORMAT THE DRIVE AND THAT SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM.

STILL HAVING ISSUE,  KINDLY PROVIDE.

OS INFO, DRIVE MODEL , AND THE INTERFACE USED (USB, ESATA)?
