I’m having a problem with my external HDD. I would like to know if there is any possible way around this issue.
My 3TB My Book Essential HDD was working fine. I took it out of the enclosure so I can plug it into my PC via SATA cables. After doing so I realized I couldn’t access my files (possibly due to encryption), so I then placed the HDD back into the enclosure and plugged it back into my PC via USB.
Upon doing so, I was no longer able to access my files. I can see the HDD listed in My Book Smartware.
I can also see the HDD listed in computer management along with all my other drives.
And it’s also listed in my Printers and Devices.
