I have a 32gb class 10 also that has the me problem when i used it on a SAMSUNG S4 and a tablet which is an ANDROID 4.1.1 but  when i used it on my SAMSUNG galaxy mini which a GINGERBREAD 2.3.4 i donot encounter the same issues…  i will try it on a another samsung ace later if it will have the same issues…

 does this mean that it is a problem with android jellybean???

Three of my family members have Samsung Galaxy S III phones with SanDisk 32GB Class 10 cards. I seem to have managed to find a card that worked in my phone. There was one recent glitch,* but otherwise fine. [*The glitch was not necessarily card related althogh the word card was mentioned in the error message.]  I do not recall initial problems, but really do not remember. My daughter has intermittent problems after I replaced a card that just did not work. The second card in my wife’s phone seems to be working.

I have been reading about this problem, which is how I found this thread, and there seem to be variables between the card, the Samsung Galaxy S III phone, and the version of Android operating system, specifically which version of Jelly Bean has been implemented in the device. Although SanDisk cards have often been involved, there also have been other brands.

In the case of the bad San Disk 32 GB Class 10 card in my daughter’s phone, it could have been damaged by a combination of the operating system and the phone. However, I could not read the card in a computer. That implies bad card, but is not definitive for at least two reasons. One it could have been damaged as by the phone or its OS, beyond the computer’s ability to access it or I could have failed to consider all the ways to get it to be recognized by the computer. At least one, and probably two of the cards failed inititally, so it was not some long term damage.

Although anything is possible since no one has conclusively identified the problem or problems, I do not really consider the computers card reader  itself to be a variable because it has read other cards and I also tried the bad card on another computer.

I do not blame any paricular manufacturer or software, but I do wish I saw more efforts to figure out why this is occuring.

I bought 16GB Ultra aroung a month back and have been facing this issue since first day.

I used two smartphones of different brands to verify whether this was the card or phone.

When I sent this card to service center, they returned it back after testing for aroung 30 min saying it is perfect.

This issue is not predictable and they can’t test just for 30 min for an issue which happens once every day in my case.

I hope SanDisk does something else I will loose my confidence in this brand and will refrain from buying anything in future, will even advice my friends to stay away from this.

People, I had the same problem with the 32g card in my Galaxy Note 1 phone, I called Sandisk and they started a warranty replacement process, they said that temporarily they were making a change for this process: instead of sending the card to Sandisk you take pictures of the card on a paper with your name and an incident number, you send them and once they verify that the card is original they ask you to destroy the card and send pictures of the destroyed card on the same paper. Then they send you a new card. They said that they were using a new technology in manufacturing the cards and that the issue was acknowledged. This was some 4 months ago and except for one random occurrence of this card extraction message, it has worked flawlessly.

Don’t worry. If you want to recover data from Android SD card, try Android Data Recovery. Install it on your computer and run it. Connect your phone to computer and enable USB debugging. Then you can scan your data from SD card and then recover your lost data. Read more from: SD Card Data Recovery. Hope my suggestion will help you.

Es decir, que hay acá, gente (inteligente y sensible), que “quiere a la gente”, y que quiere que tú estés contento y feliz con tu producto.
Y yo esto lo constaté, en el poco tiempo en que estoy, leyendo cientos de mensajes.

Same issue happened 2 days ago in LG D415.  Using card for >2 years.  Successfully transferred card and all data from previous HTC phone 3 mo ago.  Ran out of system memory on LG, so transferred all pics to same 32 GB micro-SD - and hadn’t yet backed up :-(.  While transferring video of grandson’s first steps to card, got message from phone saying that SD card had been removed, and that I should have unmounted it first.  The card was working fine in the phone until that message.  Tried re-seating the card several times and also tried reading it on laptop SD slot and on 3 different USB adaptors - NO JOY (and it’s Christmas!!).  The card is not detected, so there’s no way to use recovery software.   Any recommendations about most reliable recovery vendors? And, everybody says they’re expensive - HOW MUCH??  Happy Holidays to all those without this problem!

No replies to this yet, but I have exciting news!  Based on info from an earlier post in which someone noted that a micro-SD card which had been unrecognized on his phone and computer suddenly re-appeared after several hours sitting in the card reader on his computer, I left my card in the SanDisk adapter on my PC and HOPED!  After ~1 wk of sitting there unrecognized through many hours of operation and multiple re-boots for various reasons, the card suddenly appeared in Windows Explorer!!  I immediately successfully copied the contents to my hard drive (recovering all the precious pictures I thought were lost!).  When the data seemed to continue to be accessible, as opposed to the earlier report (which said that the card quickly became unrecognizable again), I re-installed the card in my phone - and it has behaved correctly since.  I plan to buy another card for the phone and use this one for long-term storage, but I’ve learned how important it is to maintain a current backup (cloud or another medium) for the removable as well as the internal storage on my phone!  

I don’t have a clue about the mechanism for this miracle micro-SD recovery, but I hope somebody else might benefit from my experience.

It makes sense… But why did my 32 Gb SanDisk Class 10 SD card worked out just fine for months before that message popped out? Best regards!

The following proc. worked for me:

  • reseat the card in the phone slot and clean it beforehand;

  • copy the content of the SD card to your HDD (via PC-phone USB connection);

  • remove the card from the phone and format it (via SD slot or USB);

  • recover the content to the card and mount it back in the phone.

For a few days I haven’t seen any “unexpected removals”.

I was also getting this error with my sandisk memory card on samsung galaxy grand. However just resolved this error using this useful tutorial.

We hear a great deal about X or X item to cleanse your skin and no longer have pimples they are for the most part more costly the 1 than the others and you need to put a few items consistently and even that occasionally it doesn’t work lol.
