my 3tb my book works fine on my windows vista system but when I attach to windows 10 nothing. I see a drive letter with almost nothing avail and when I select it it wants to unlock. I have never used that feature so I have no unlock code I know of

I recommend you make sure the Windows 10 computer has all the available updates. Especially the one regarding USB ports. Also make sure you plug the drive directly into a wall outlet in order to discard any power issues.
