Looking at getting the 240gb model to go with my Gigabyte ZZ-D3H (rev 1.1). Just wondering if anyone has this combo, any quirks to report, and maybe what sort of speeds you get with the latest firmware. Will be my first SSD, so hoping for some plain sailing from the off.

This should be fine. I haven’t read any negative feebacks doing this yet. Also check Intel sata3 ports.
