10A8 not seen

It’s recognized by system (windows 7), but not seen in Computer Management. Trying to repare, i get announcement about probems with driver. But i couldn’t find driver anywhere. Where can i find it or maybe there’s another reason and way to solve?

“10A8” is not a valid Western Digital product number. It does not help identify your unit (Which may not have drivers).

Have you tried different USB cables? Does it work in a different computer?

Thanks. Tried different cables.Tried on another computer - no result. Were shall i find product number - on pack, or can i find in device properties?

It’s on both the box and the unit. Look for a Product Number (PN) that starts with WD and includes a number reflecting your unit’s capacity (0010=1TB, 0020=2TB) alongside an abbreviated color code (RD=Red, BK=Black).

Example: WDBGPU0010BRD is the model number for the 1TB WD Passport Ultra (Red color).

WDBUZG5000ABK-03
Found.

And where i will use this numberz?

WDBUZG5000ABK is the model number for a 500GB WD Elements Portable. The model number is correct.

This hard drive has no dedicated drivers. If your computer is detecting a driver problem then we have an interface (Connector) issue. Replace the USB cable and try a different computer. If it does not work then the hard drive’s controller has failed and the unit should be replaced. If the unit works in another computer then your system’s USB controller should be updated. On this case you would need to contact your computer’s manufacturer for instructions.

now recognized device and demands to initialize it, but when i try too initialize i see error window

and shows 0 bytes of size

does it need mechanical repair?
