If you are referring to be able to access recovery mode on the player, then the answer is no. The only thing I see is the SanDisk logo(red lettering/white screen). I can’t access the menu let alone recovery mode.
I also tried your suggestion. The Sansa device was in the USB device list. After I deleted it and plugged the payer back in, I got the following message: " One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message."
