Any hot tips on installing the firmware update on Mac OS X 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard)? I don't know if this will help provide an answer, but this is what System Info has to say about the Sansa Clip+ attached to my USB hub (S/N expunged):
Capacity: 7.92 GB (7,916,748,800 bytes)
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec

You don't need it. All the firmware updates for all the players can be found here. Simply follow the manual installation instructions (it's easy).

um, im trying with this, and i cant get it to giveme the new firmware, WHICH apperantly it needs to give me the media converter. i have the fuze, 2 GB, so.... can someone help me? is there a way i can get the converter without the updater?

honestly, this is getting on my nerves. now i manually installed the newest firmware, and guess what???? now the updater wont even let me TRY to get the media converter. yes, ive tried other media converters. my problem, is that i dont know what format video the fuze wants!!!!! will real player SP's media conerter work for this purpose?

You can install the firmware manually, versus the updater, which is designed to update to the latest for your device only.
