Compactflash: Ultra vs. Ultra II

Hi, I've seen the following cards:

compactflash ultra - 4GB - 30m/s

compactflash ultra II - 4GB - 15m/s

So, the ultra version is faster than ultra II one.

Which one is better then? Ultra II type has got other advantages?

Thanks.

Re: Compactflash: Ultra vs. Ultra II

the Ultra labeled cards are the newer updated versions with a faster transfer speed. there are really no other feature difference.

Ok thanks. :smileyhappy:

(Even if it's a bit confusing having ultra cards faster than ultra II... :/ )

Re: Compactflash: Ultra vs. Ultra II

Nope. It's just a name used by SanDisk. All retail / professional cards from SanDisk are Type I.

Re: Compactflash: Ultra vs. Ultra II

Hi I have the same question, but I would like a more detailed answer please:

What is the difference between

Sandisk Ultra Compact Flash 8Gb  (up to 30mb/s.  200x)

and

Sandisk Ultra II 8Gb

Re: Compactflash: Ultra vs. Ultra II

My findings are that a Ultra II SDHC handles files much faster than the ULTRA CF cards,

is my CF card broken ?
