I just got in a no-name 8GB card that I had ordered from DX for about $15. (They're sold out right now, though.) I found this utility to test the transfer speed and also to verify its reliability and that it really was 8GB. I thought I would pass on the link in case anybody wanted to check his or her card's actual transfer rate.
It's called H2test2 1.4.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Download the free utility and test your card's actual transfer speed. List the card brand, capacity, and rated speed class (class 2, 4, or 6) along with the actual results. You might also want to note which card reader you're using since that could be a factor, too. I'm using an internal card reader (fits into a 3.5" floppy drive bay) that I got from newegg a few months ago for about $14 or so.
I'd be interested in seeing some of the results of tests of various cards and class ratings.
Next, I tested my old trusty Transcend 4GB class 6 card in order to compare the results. I only tested 120 MB because I didn't want to delete the files I already had on the card. I figured 120 MB was enough to give me a good estimate of transfer speeds.

As an afterthought, I decided to plug my e260 v1 in MSC mode and test its internal flash drive, too. Once again, I only tested 120 MB worth of data.
Brand: Sandisk e260v1 in MSC mode
Capacity: 4GB internal flash drive
Class Rating: Unknown
Warning: Only 120 of 3807 MByte tested.
That would mean the internal flash drive is probably a Class 2 device? Then again, that class rating only applies to SD devices and I'm not sure if the internal drive is considered an SD device? Not that it matters.

I have tested this by puting my 8GB class 4 card direct into my laptop HP Pavillion dv9000. It has a special direct reader on the laptop itself. Below is my result.
Should I be worried?
Warning: Only 7528 of 7572 MByte tested.

Test Result of my 3 microSD card
Reading speed is very much disappointing of this 8GB card. But why? it was given with NOKIA5800 mobile set.

FREE rarely means GOOD.
You get what you pay for.

The card was included in the package. Anyway, beign class 4 it is not providing good reading speed. In other cases reading speed is around 3times higher than writting speed. This is the main concern
I went some shops to check microSD card and saw they all have lower class (2). Price of 4GB microSD class 2 (Transcend, Apacer etc) is around 11 USD here. Where I bought a non brand chinese 4GB microSD having class 4 worth 7 USD. Test result shown in the above post for this card.

I did not find microSD card of class 6 or higher here in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Could anybody tell how can I get a 8/16GB class 6/10 microSD? It would be better If there is price information.
