If anybody still cares, I use a Sony MDR-G45 and get great reception. This has a 4.5 foot cable; I’ve found anything longer to snag on any available protrusion. You’ll get best results with a longer, unshielded cable hanging freely (don’t wrap or coil it).
No, they probably aren’t the greatest sound quality, but I’m not an audiophile; reception is my priority.
