Refreshing Database

I have a Sansa Fuze v01.02.31A with a 32GB SD.

When i start it always takes a long time to refresh database.

How to do avoid it?

Where Fuze store database data?

Anytime you plug your Fuze into your computer and change any content on the player (and sometimes even when you don’t), it will refresh the database upon unplugging it.

The only way to avoid it is to use the 3rd-party firmware, Rockbox.

The database file it stores this information in is MTABLE.SYS.

Fuze refresh anytime i boot also if i not change the player content. Rockbox have other problem that often skip track when it is not ended. Ty.

How old is your Fuze?

If the card slot is starting to go, losing and then regaining the connection, then you might get the constant refreshing–and that’s a hardware problem, not fixable for less than the price of the Fuze even if you can find someone to do it. That might explain your Rockbox problem too–no one else has reported that happening here.

It might be time to start looking for a replacement player.

Rockbox does the same on my device when I play *.opus files. Perhaps Diamay is also using opus, in which case this is a simple bug. I’ve never had this happen with any other file format.
