Have just purchased a Fuze+ and am trying to get to grips with same. According to the December 2011 User’s Manual, para. 3.5 says “To lock the device, do a quick press on the power button…” Try as I may, I cannot get my device to do this - nothing happens (i,e, no padlock icon shows). The power button works normally on the longer press to turn the unit on and off. Has anyone any ideas what the problem is? (I’ve run the Sansa updater,done a reset and a reformat - all to no avail.)

Yup, that solved it - I have the earlier firmware version. I’d assumed that as I bought my player last week it would have the latest version, but apparently not! Thanks!.

You are welcome. You should do a manual firmware update to the new version.
