Yes, just make sure your books are tagged as “Audiobook” or that you manually place the files into the \audiobook folder (they will not sync there automatically). As long as you have a recent firmware, the player does a good job with the “resume” function. You can switch between books & music and the book will retain its place (only 1 bookmark per book) - it will ask if you want to “Resume?” or “Start over?”
My husband uses his Fuze almost exclusively for books. I favor the Clip family of players for my books, due to their size & “clip”.
