Are you putting the .m3u playlist file in the MUSIC folder? Does the name of the playlist show in the PLAYLIST menu?
If it does, and you’re getting an [empty] response when trying to play it, then the path to the music is wrong meaning the player can’t find the songs. You have to create the playlist from the songs located on the player, not from the ones located on your computer.
