You don’t need the disc that came with the Clip–it just has a free trial for the optional (fee-based) Rhapsody music subscription series, which you also can find online; and, possibly, your Clip user manual, also available here at the top of the forum.
No software is needed to “run” the Clip–you simply can copy and paste music to it, or use a music manager of your choice.
