Shuffle

The Clip Zip has a Shuffle function. While playing a song, do a long press of the down button. Then you will see a menu with shuffle listed, where you can enable or disable shuffle. I believe the Shuffle though using the Sandisk firmware is more of a random song function than a true shuffle, as songs do repeat before all are played. Rockbox, the free alternative firmware(operating system) for the Clip Zip provides a true shuffle(like a deck of cards), and won’t repeat any songs until after all are played. Rockbox.org
