Protect Battery Life

Hi

I am using my Sansa Clip Zip for about 6 months now, and I am very happy with it’s performance.

I am using my player mainly as a music library (I store almost 30Gb of music on a SD card) listening to it daily for 8 hours at work. When I use it, it’s always plugged to a wall USB charger, so that I don’t remain without power. However I am not sure what is best for my player: constantly beeing charged, or just play music, and charge it from time to time.

I know that with lithium based batteries, multiple chargings are not an issue, but still, sometimes I go for a 2 hour meeting and the player just stays in limbo state untill I get back and un-pause it. If it would run on battery, it would shut down after 1 or 2 minutes of being paused, but then it would require a boot.

So, I am just looking for best practicies.

P.S. Sorry for the silly question

For many years, I had a different make of player that I used like yours.  It was plugged in all day, and I never saw it be the worse for wear from that.  And, I’m talking years.

Thanks.

That’s all I need to know
