As the title says. Everytime I change songs, select a song, or a song repeats, there’s always a few seconds of lag. This happened recently and I’ve tried formatting, updating the firmware, and when I play the songs from the player on my computer, there’s no problem so it can’t be the songs. please help.
Check the ID3 tags with a tag-editing program such as MP3Tag. Look for excessively large embedded album/cover art, or text in the Comments field, both of which could be slowing down the processing of the files.
All album art and comments have been removed. there are some songs I saw with album art but they didn’t cause any problem before this happened.
You might also try manually reapplying the latest firmware (see the firmware sticky thread at the top of the forum)–glitches can develop.
What is the format of the files that you’re having problems with (.mp3, .wma, .flac, .aac, .ogg)? And maybe the bit-rate?
